Well they found homeless "man with the golden voice" Ted Williams, decrepit
and homeless, and Dr Phil decided he wanted to help him out. They reunited a polite and slightly more clean shaven Mr. Williams with his family yesterday on the doctor Phil show and it didn't take too long for all possible hell to break loose. He quickly retreated to his "hobo" ways and got two of his estranged kids to sneak him some grey goose. He had said he was clean and sober for 2 years but quickly got drunk and had a fight with his ex wife and his daughter, slapping his daughter in the face. His wife had to wrestle with him. The next morning he didn't show up for a 7:30 A.M. casting call to get his teeth fixed and said the problems were "managerial". Damn right. He couldn't manage his alcohol or manage his temper. Throughout the interview my mother (who also doubles as a behavioural pathologist) said he was probably making up lies trying to cover up some of his bigger demons (the reason he was homeless and an addict for the better part of the past twenty years). They flashed a sheepish apology video of TED to his daughter where he talked about how he was about to make it and how sorry he was about what happened the night before. She didn't buy it and neither did we. Its a long hard road to success if my life has been any indication and it can be frustrating to watch some guy go from a gutter to a penthouse suite. However in life we all deserve second chances. Lets hope Ted takes advantage.
