End of World Near? Mississippi Flooding...

The U.S. Army corps have been battling to quell the rising tide of the Mississippi river this past week...Flooding has been reported as far south as New Orleans, Louisiana  as well as in Tennessee and Missouri...This has happened many times over the years and the Bonnet Carre-Spillway...designed to remove water from overflowing areas (Built in 1929) was opened..
Water levels are currently at their hightest since 1937 apparently and states of emergency have been
called up from several counties in the region. However modern flood-Levee technology is much better than before but the floods which occured in 1927 and 1937 cost over 650 million dollars and lasted from
spring until August....Its gonna be a long, wet, summer...
